In college, I earned degrees in both Computer Science and Finance. I started out like every computer science major back then, thinking I was going to make (play?) video games for a living. As it happened, computer science was not what I thought! But finance? I loved it from the start and have never looked back. Before I came to work with the Lantz Team, I was fortunate to get a strong background in the analytical side of financial planning by working my way up from entry level to advisor at a previous firm. During that time, I also worked to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER&trade; Professional. My analytical background and attention to detail helps me work with our clients to identify solutions to each of their unique needs throughout the planning process. At Lantz Financial we specialize in helping clients lead up to, into, and through retirement. Every single retirement income plan for each family is completely different; it takes the experience and the willingness to explore multiple ideas to help each plan come together.

I founded Lantz Financial in 2017; however, the idea had been brewing for the 25-plus years I had been in the business. I realized there was a need to be able to change and provide objective advice, free from corporate objectives, and to act as a fiduciary for clients. That was something increasingly difficult as the major firms consolidated. Lantz Financial strives to provide tailored financial and retirement income plans for the right clients that meets their needs and expectations. For the past two decades, our focus has been on creating clients' income plans and providing realistic income streams that they cannot outlive. Starting Lantz Financial allowed us to accomplish all of this with an independent spirit and not a boiler-plate mentality.

I have a corporate finance background, and my skills acquired in that field have helped develop my analytical mindset. The attention to detail from previous experiences has certainly crossed over into my role at the Lantz Team. Currently, I'm in the process of becoming a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER&trade; Professional.

I grew up a competitive athlete and had the amazing opportunity to compete at the Collegiate Division II level. I believe my athletic background has taught me about commitment, perseverance, and the importance of teamwork that I look forward to applying at Lantz Financial.

I graduated from North Central College with a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Finance and a minor in Political Science. I decided to major in Finance to keep my options open, and when I took Wealth Management with a great professor, I knew financial planning was my future. I ran cross-country and track while I was in college, learning Al Carius's philosophy, which had a profoundly positive impact on my life. The work ethic and values I learned in his program have set me up for success for the rest of my life. I gained my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER&trade; certification in May 2025.
