This process is called due diligence. Paladin had to look at key advisor characteristics that impacted their competence and trustworthiness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Advisor_Credentials\"><\/span><strong>Advisor Credentials<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The first research category is four financial advisor credentials that impact their knowledge: Education (college degrees), years of experience, certifications (CFA\u00ae, CFP\u00ae, CIMA\u00ae), and memberships in associations that have continuing education requirements and codes of ethics.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Ethics\"><\/span><strong>Ethics<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The second research category is ethics that impact trustworthiness.&nbsp; Paramount is the advisors\u2019 compliance records that are documented on the FINRA.org website. Second is the RIA or IAR status of the advisors. These registrations make them financial fiduciaries who are held to the highest ethical standards in the financial service industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Business_Practices\"><\/span><strong>Business Practices<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The third research category is the advisors\u2019 business practices. For example, how are the advisors\u2019 compensated, fee, commission, or both? Do the advisors practice full transparency for information that investors need to make the right selection decisions? Do the advisors provide monthly or quarterly investment performance reports?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Services_Products\"><\/span><strong>Services &amp; Products<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The fourth category is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paladinregistry.com\/investment-advice-online\/why-pay-fees-for-financial-advice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">financial services that advisors provide for fees <\/a>and the products they sell for commissions. For example, does the advisor provide financial planning services? Does the advisor provide financial advice or sell investment products?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Paladins_Algorithm\"><\/span><strong>Paladin\u2019s Algorithm<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All advisors start with 100 points and Paladin\u2019s algorithm deducts points for perceived weaknesses. For example, an advisor with five years of experience loses more points than an advisor who has ten years of experience. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paladinregistry.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Advisors much achieve 90 or more points to receive a five star quality rating to be admitted to the Registry<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_Investors_Benefit\"><\/span><strong>How Investors Benefit<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Does Paladin\u2019s research process guarantee future results? It does not, but neither do the non-existent track records.
